San Antonio gaining southern favorite Buttermilk Sky Pie Shop location
Press+San Antonio Buttermilk Sky PIeButtermilk Sky Pie Shop has been loved by people throughout the South for its individual-sized sweets. The shop’s already reached Texas, but now it’s making its way to San Antonio. Residents Katie and Barry Crossland are eyeing an August opening for their Redland-area shop.
The chain of pie shops was started in 2013 in Knoxville, Tenn. by Scott and Meredith Layton. The upcoming 2903 North Loop 1604 East location is the first business venture for the Crosslands. Katie is a chemist, while Barry is a manufacturing manager for H-E-B.
