Kimmie was introduced to Buttermilk Sky Pie by her son, Ben. He brought her a slice of our always-has-been, and soon-to-be-even-more famous Buttermilk Pie. “That slice of pie took me back 20 years” and rekindled Kimmie’s passion for baking. Her shop has been open for over four years and is family-run with the help of her sons, Ben and Wesley, and her daughter, Clarissa. 

Kimmie is originally from South Korea and has lived in South Georgia for over 30 years. She will tell you “I had nothing when I came to the United States, but I worked hard and saved what I could.” Her shop’s success is proof of her hard work and dedication, and her goal is to always help other people – especially with church, community, and missionary.  

Kimmie’s favorite part of owning a Buttermilk Sky Pie Shop is bringing people happiness and joy. She wants everyone to enjoy the wonderful taste of homemade pies and hopes they bring back memories of home, like her first slice did for her. Her favorite pie is Chocolate Cream and she guarantees everyone in Sandy Springs will love her pies. Be sure to stop by and try them all!
