Allen and Marlet fell in love over pie during date nights in California’s Silicon Valley where they were married there more than 25 years ago. In 2001, they moved to Arlington, Texas, where they laid down roots and raised their two children, AJ. and Amaya, both proud graduates of Kennedale ISD.

Allen and Marlet bring a wealth of experience, service, and dedication to their new role as franchise owners of Buttermilk Sky Pie Shop – Mansfield.  Allen is a military veteran who recently retired after 25 years of service in public safety, earning recognition for his leadership, discipline, and commitment to the community. Marlet has dedicated over 20 years to the healthcare profession and currently practices as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), known for her focus on patient safety, comfort, and excellence. Together, they are excited to channel their combined experience, values, and passion for service into building a business that makes a positive impact on their community.

Now proud empty nesters, Allen and Marlet celebrate their son, AJ, as he begins his military career as a commissioned Nuclear Surface Warfare Officer in the US Navy, and their daughter, Amaya, as she too pursues her career in nursing.

Allen and Marlet are dedicated to giving back through local charities and non-profit organizations via their “Pie-It-Forward” program. They are also committed to honoring professions that serve the public, including active-duty military and veterans, first responders, healthcare professionals, and teachers.
